World of Animals' Sunday Funday is a day for pets and pet lovers, young and old, to get together to benefit displaced pets in our region. The day will include music, food, games, canine demonstrations and lots of fun! We will have pet-friendly vendors, as well as rescue organizations with dogs and cats looking for their forever homes. We would like to do more for this wonderful organization and with your help, we can! In order to make this event truly successful, we are looking for help in spreading the word about this worthy organization.
In 2011 when World of Animals opened it's first Veterinary Hospital, Red Paw Emergency Relief Team was being founded by a Philadelphia fire Fighter. Red Paw Emergency Relief Team is an emergency response organization whose mission is to assist displaced pets and their people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, free of charge so that all family members are taken care of during and after a disaster in their home, and reunited once they recover. Red Paw responds to hundreds of calls each year and has cared for thousands of pets since its inception in 2011. World of Animals has provided shelter or medical care for over two dozen of Red Paw’s displaced dogs & cats while their families recovered from disasters in their homes. In 2015 World of Animals hosted our first Sunday Funday to benefit Red Paw –the event has grown each year, and in 2017 we were able to present the Red Paw organization with a check for $8,500.
Our goal for 2018 is to increase our fundraising efforts so we can help even more local families and their pets.
